32bit Dapper to 64 bit Dapper

Ok when I first installed Dapper on my ml37 turion 64 bit laptop my mouse was going crazy and there were some other issues. So I then installed the 32bit version and it worked great. Now I want to switch to 64 bit and see if everything will work properly with the settings I have.

So my question is can I switch to 64bit Dapper without reinstalling the OS?

    Hi,

    Really good question
In fact, you should see it by looking for the package linux-image-...-amd64...
If you don't have it, so it means that you will not be able to do it, I guess it's not possible, I'm using a 64bits system and can't install 32 bits kernels (I don't see them).
For me it's quite normal behavior as it would be really all packages to change...

    Cheers

When do you think all the OS systems will change to 64 bit?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, anyway I will try to answer

For now, not all will switch because of lack of drivers and softwares (flash for example)
Nevermind, I'm using my 64bits fully and I'm really happy with it using a 32 bits machine to use flash...

        Cheers
