    How to install a swap.

How would I go about making a 500mb swap if I already installed Dapper?

if you used the desktop CD, put the desktop CD in, load it up, and download qtparted (sudo apt-get install qtparted). Now resize your kubuntu partition, and use the free space to make a swap

I can't remember if qtparted can make a swap space, but if not, just go into a konsole and type sudo cfdisk, find the free space, and go to Type, and change the type to 82 (linux swap)
