boot sector and its backup

Hi:
I started getting this message while booting Kubuntu Dapper. After this message the system boots OK and everything is fine. It is probably a bug. Is there a way to fix this message showing?

"There are differences between boot sector and its backup"
"not automatically fixing this"

Hi,

You should be able to fix it by fsck from a live cd. Then choose copy original to backup, it should be ok.

Would this be ok to do on a dual boot with XP system? Or will it screw with windows.... not that I've really used windows since installing Kubuntu (ok, once to make sure it actually booted)
