Dapper hangs on "Copying Files" at 72%

Hello everyone. I'm having a bit of a problem installing dapper. I get past the initial loading, past the partioner (sometimes... but not if I try to manually partition...) and to the desktop just fine. Then when I try to run INSTALL to install kubuntu 6 it starts copying files then it reaches 72% and suddenly it hangs. The "time remaining" just gets higher and higher while 72% doesnt change. THen I have to reboot by hitting the reset button. Can anyone give me any ideas?

    Thanks!

    I have similar problem
I was behind a firewall proxy

    solution:

    boot livecd
xterm: export http_proxy=http://xx.yy.zz.dk:3128 # or you proxy
start install by stealing from properties in icon for install :-)

check the installation and boot guide to see for sure your CD is downloaded/burned correctly?

Or, try connecting the computer directly to the internet (ie, to the modem, not the router)

I ended up just re-installing kubuntu 5.10 and using aptitude to dist-upgrade. It seems to be working well and as breezy has always treated me so nicely, I dont expect any problems with the upgrade.
