    installing on raid device

I am having trouble installing on a raid device.

The kernel seems to recognize the devices as raid :

    [4294780.744000] md: bind<sdb3>
    [4294780.744000] md: bind<sda3>
[4294780.773000] md: raid1 personality registered as nr 3
    [4294780.774000] raid1: raid set md0 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors
[4294780.774000] md: syncing RAID array md0

but ubiquity only offers the individual disk devices for partitioning (sda or sdb). I'd like to be able to partition and install on /dev/md0.
    Any suggestions ?
The disks are off a promise fastrak txII 150.

p.s. Debian and ubuntu installers also fail to do the trick
