I'm posting this just so this weird problem is known. I have a Dell Inspiron 3800. When installing DD it errored out continually at the Retrieve and Install software section. How did I finally get it to install? Well. I unplugged the system and allowed it to run on battery at that point. Still had to get it to repeat the process several times, but it did finally complete with no errors. Odd. When it was plugged in, I could never get it past that.
