6.0.6 no go on install

I have tried to install Kubuntu 6.0.6 Beta 2 on an ASUS A8V-MX:
AMD Athilon_64 3200+ 939
NVidia GFX 5200
1Gig ram.
The problem is it launches the installer when I click next from first screen the next screen flashes but then install stops.
This is not my first problem.
I could not get the installer in 6.0.2 to go past the partition program launch (it just kept cycling the launch) and it would lock up. Also could not get the installer with 6.0.6 Beta 1 to work ( that may have been a blessing).
Not sure of the problem.

I have had exactly the same problem.

Just errors whichever option you choose for partition.

Hellhe o all,

I tried the Live CD version's install with the exact same issues, however, I downloaded the install cd for Beta 2 and here I am. WiFi setup, KDE / OO etc upgraded through synaptic. Excellent experienece so far.

Acer Aspire 3500
1.4 / 80gb / 256mg /CDRW/DVD
Atheros onboard WiFi chipset
Dual boot XP / Kubuntu

Yes, the livecd installer still looks to be crashing for a few folks. if you get a window with a traceback, you can use that to make a bug report and hopefully they will be able to fix it

No, you would need to download the regular (text mode) cd image (iirc)
