Text mode install - can I put bootloader on a partition?

Reading such horror stories about the install, and seeing that the livecd does not seem to give a choice of where to install the bootloader, I would like to ask those of you who already worked with the text mode AMD64 drapper installer: to

Does this gives you an option where to install grub? I do not want to install it to the MBR, rather I would put it to the root partition, so I can use my existing grub installation and preserve my setup with other linuxes...

I am downloading the CD at the moment, soon ready to install...

    Any response is appreciated...

    Thanks: Viktor from the UK

    Hi,

I've installed it a while ago and it was not in real text mode, it's in menu mode, where did you see that it was in text ?
About grub, I don't really remember but I think that it's possible to choose where to install it.
