    cupsys error

I've installed kubuntu dapper alfa 3, in two differente computers and I get the same cupsys error.

When I access to the printer section in Kcontrol to install a printer, or when I try to print, I get the error:

"Unable to retrieve the printer list. Error message received form manager:
Connection to CUPS serer failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running. Error: host not found."

The server is running, and I even can install a printer with a browser and the URL localhost:631, but any way I can't print because I get the error I just mentioned before.

¿Any idea? ¿Am I the only one who has this problem?

    Regards.

    Victor.

    Re: cupsys error

    I replay to myself:

After installing dapper, if you go to System settings / Printers / Print Manager / Configure Manager / Cups Server, you can see that in the field Host it appears: "/var/run/cups/cups.sock" and it should be "localhost".

    It's now solved.

    Hope it helps .

    Victor.

      Re: cupsys error

Got the same problem, but it say localhost at my config .

Can't find the solution for my cups error hehe but thats beta testing

Unable to retrieve the printer list. Error message received from manager:
Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running. Error: the IPP request failed for an unknown reason.
Also had read somewhere that it has something to do with ipv6 ourso.

          Same problem here...
          Can't install my Deskjet printer.
          Cupsys is dead, I think.
