my problem is the same as described in a previous post here:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=7139.0
Basically (for those who didn't rtft) Live CD boots fine. Go to install. Language, Locale, User setup fine.
Partitioning.
Seems to advance/collect information about my HD's, but shows no info or options.
My setup is:
HDA - NTFS (keep)
HDB - FAT32 (keep) / 7GB avail. (KUBUNTU INSTALL)
HDC - CDROM
HDD - NTFS (keep)
I've tried leaving the available space on /dev/hdb as just open space.
I've also tried pre-formatting it with PartitionMagic as -- 1 Extended with: 1 Logical ext3 "/", 1 Logical ext3 "/home", and 1 swap (512MB).
Running QtParted standalone seems fine, showing info and options etc. ...from pictures of Ubiquity installer, the partition info looks a lot like QtParted, so i assumed....
My Question:
How can i implement the solution mentioned in linked post (if at all) or alternately is there another manner of installation, possibly a script? I can do CLI install, not a problem.
Unfortunately, i'm on dialup and the solution is beginning to become a personal crusade for me. Just can't believe that there's a problem with a distro that i ordered.
TIA,
