    editing grub/ login screen loop

Grub doesn't seem to work with the HP 850mhz motherboard I have installed Kubuntu on. As I have stated elsewhere I have no keyboard during grub. I still trying to figure that one out but I have run into a problem with the login screen in Kubuntu. When I log into Kubuntu now it goes in an endless loop of log on screens. How can I edit my grub so I can get into Ubuntu which is also on that machine? I have logged without xterm but don't know the commands to edit the file without gnu. What command do I use? tm

    Hi,

to edit the file, you should be able to use "vi". To save the file press "escape" "x", to insert "i"...

    Hope it helps

      Is it a usb keyboard?

If so, you must enable it in the BIOS, GRUB has no drivers for usb...........
