I have a HP OfficeJet K60xi that installed with no problems in Dapper on my desktop but when I tried to install it on my Dell inspiron laptop I was having problems. I was getting what looked like permission problems but finally got past that by typing "sudo foomatic-cleanupdrivers". After that I apparently was able to install the printer but when I click on test print page in the add new printer wizard i get the message " Test page successfully sent to printer. Wait until printing is complete, then click the OK button." Nothing happens. Any body have any ideas for what to do next?

you may have a look at the logs files created by the printing system (on the server as well as on the host), to be accessed via http://localhost:631/admin. Hopefully, there you will find some indication on what is going wrong.

I had that happen. Turned out, I'd just loaded the wrong driver. I use a HP PSC 1210, and I had loaded the driver for the 2110, or something close. I loaded the correct driver, and it worked just fine.Comment
