    My Scanner: Canon D646U

I have a scanner. Canon D646U. And I got a dual-boot thingy goin on in my PC. Anyway. I have this scanner installed in my XP. But mosta my time, I'm in Kubuntu but only for scannin I need to reboot the damn PC to XP each and every time. CUZ, I can't install this here. I connected but I don't see any autodetection or nothing. I've got in Kooka and clicked to Select Device... but nothing happens. And I don't really know how to do this. Help me out! How am I gonna install my scanner?
