2 problems with kernel upgrade

Just upgraded to kernel 2.6.15-27-K7.
1st problem:
boot hangs at "loading hardware drivers" intermittently. When it does hang I do a hard reboot and it manages to start OK.
2nd problem:
The pcmcia wireless card is not recognized. When I boot to the -386 kernel the wireless is up and ruuning in no time.
Any ideas??

If you could give more info on what the make and model is of the wireless is, it would be easier to diagnose. Each has its own quirks and fixes. I'm guessing that you have a dual processor, or why would you be using the 686 version of the kernel, correct? I had a similar problem to yours in that the wireless card would not 'wake up' on restart, and I was having fits to get it to do so.
