    [solved]PCI cards don't work

    Hi,

I've just installed Kubuntu 6.06.1 and now there's some trouble with the PCI cards:
The system doesn't take any notice of them. They are not mentioned in lspci. Instead the onboard sound (which I disabled in BIOS!!) is listed there.

With a Mandriva LiveCD everything worked fine.

The mainboard is an Asus A8V-X (VIA K8T800/VT8251 Chipset)
PCI cards: Soundblaster Live! and 3Com network adapter.

    Please help me,

    Thanks!

    The soloution: Boot option pci=conf1

Can someone explain how to implement the "solution" here? I tried typing "Boot option pci=conf1" into the terminal but that didn't work. Thanks.
