    cannot browse USB drives

I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 with KDE 3.5.4. I've noticed that since I upgraded from 3.5.3 to 3.5.4 that I can no longer browse either my external USB drive or my USB thumb drive.

When I connect my external drive to my computer, the computer seems to detect it fine and asks me if I want to open it in a new window. But when I try to see my drive in Konquerer or Krusader, I get an error message that says "An unknown error has occured."

I've looked all over for solutions to this and tried a few things on my own but haven't been able to find anything. Has anyone else had problems with USB drives like this one?

Any and all input regarding this problem would be appreciated.

I've had this same problem here with my laptop. The funny thing is that I had upgraded to KDE 3.5.4 a while back, and had no problem with my USB drives up until ca. two weeks ago, when I started having that error, and I haven't figured out a solution as of yet.
