kubuntu it0s not recognise both hard drives

hi all guys, that's my first message.
I'm a ubuntu user but i would like to pass to kubuntu version installing kubuntu. I have a little problem. I got 2 hard drives (hitachi 250gb + seagate 250 gb) On fierst drive i got 3 partitions (one for winxp-ntfs, one for ubuntu system files -fat 32 and another one for multimedia files-fat32. The second hard drive has 2 partitions, both fat 32. For now with winxp e ubuntu evrithing works fine.
The problem is that when i want to install kubuntu, i can't see the first drive (the drive with winxp + ubuntu). I tried other distribution like knoppix and it works. Onluy on kubuntu i can't see my first drive, neither on demo mode.
I tried programs like qtparted but these programs shows me only the second drive, and not the first.
What should i do to see the both drives? Thanks.

    Hi,

It's really strange that you can't see the first drive, if you were able to install ubuntu...
Anyway one tip, would be to install kubuntu-desktop over your ubuntu, like this, on login screen you will be able to load kde or gnome...
Another idea, maybe try again with the alternate cd of the latest 6.06.1, or wait til 6.10 to be out...

    Cheers
