    Tv-card!

    Hi!

I have bought a new tv-card for my kubuntu box! it is a AverMedia Hybrid+FM pci car with a remote controll. I'm looking for drivers but haven't had much luck. On linuxtv.org I found out something regarding the newest AVerMedia cards "http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph...devices_DVB-T".

I don't know if my card is by the newest type but perhaps I should upgrade the kernel just to be sure? How can I upgrade the kernel and can I have 2 kernels so if I don't succeed I still have my old working kernel?

You can have many kernel. just use synaptic and choose the latest version of the kernel for your type of board. AMD, intel so forth.

    IE: I have a K7 board so I choose Linux-K7 and linux-header-K7 files.

You may also need other repositories enabled. many threads of repo out there for the type you may want to enable.
