Gparted KDE Equivalent

Hi.

I've got a secondary FAT32 40GB HDD, and I'd like to format it to XFS (preferably) or Ext3. I've found a Gnome-compatible partitioner (Gparted), but that doesn't seem to work on KDE.

How would I go about formatting my HDD?

have you tried qtparted? thats QTParted.

Qtparted works, but you can't use it on a mounted filesystem. You need something like the Ultimate Boot CD or a Knoppix Live CD. Both have qtparted as standard issue. In knoppix, open a konsole and type sudo qtparted, and you're good to go. (No password required, but I've never been able to get it to run off a menu, or without sudo, either ..)

And BTW if you like the Gnome Partition Manager (gparted) then go ahead and use it under KDE. Works fine.
