Automatic pairing of Microsoft Bluetooth mouse

I have a Microsoft bluetooth wireless mouse. I can get it to work with hidd --connect 00:0D:3A:A2:74:E6. If I don't use the mouse for 10 minutes the Kbluetoothd icon is grey and the mouse doesn't work. If I then move the mouse, the KBluetoothD icon in the system tray turns deep blue for a few seconds and during that time, when I put a different mouse pointer on this icon, I see a message that says Connected to Microsoft mouse 00:0D:3A:A2:74:E6. A few seconds later the icon turns grey again and the message says Not connected. The mouse does not ever work by just moving it.
I have to push button on the bottom of the mouse and give the command hidd --connect 00:0D:3A:A2:74:E6 again to use the mouse.
Does automatic pairing work with Dapper?
