Which Modem?

I am currently with Tiscali Broadband and tried installing my USB SAgem Fast 800 E2T modem which was a failure. I am now considering buying an Ethernet modem/router, Do you guys have any advice on which one I should buy for Kubuntu 6.06 LTS?

Any advice on this matter would be great, even trying to solve the USB modem problem?

Also, does anyone know any good sites to order modem/routers from?

Any ethernet router will work under linux if your ethernet works.

At DSL user sites has usually modem / router comparatives.

I just got a NetGear DG834 4 port ADSL router with firewall built in off Ebay for £20..

Like ghotam mentioned, as long as you have an ethernet card to connect to the router, kubunto will automagically see it, get an IP from the router..you wont have to do anything
