No, wine only translates from Linux to Windows apps -- the Windows stuff never actually gets access to your hardware. So if there's no Linux driver, there's nothing to translate to wine.

Darn it.....looks like I'll have to buy a supported scanner then - I couldn't get the camera driver to work either (see above).
