Im getting worried ... I should probably wait until my fears are either confirmed or allayed but I cant ...
A new laptop (Alienware MJ-12 m7700a) is winging (crawling in reality) its way to me and I am looking forward to installing Kubuntu on it having had reasonably positive experiences with it to date.
But my fear is that I am going to have difficulty with its (SATA) RAID-0 which I have been salivating over. I hope against hope that RAID-0 will just be a BIOS setting or something and that the installation program is simply going to see the two striped disks as one big one and proceed as I have experienced it before, but as I do my preparation/research I am coming across scare stories regarding both SATA and RAID.
Can anyone put my mind at rest, or even confirm my fears?
