Polaroid PDC 5080

I have searched these forums, looked into digikam and System Settings > Digital Camera

but neither seem to have any support for Polaroid's PDC 5080.
Is there a generic driver? Is there a way I can help get the info someone would need to build a driver for it?
When i plug it into my USB port i get no notice that the camera is even plugged in. Maybe my USB ports are disabled?

This is my first week using kubuntu and linux in general and I have gotten most of the other issues fixed except for the camera issue.

I hope someone can help.

I'm not familiar with the Polaroid PDC5080, but many digital cameras look like usb storage devices to Linux. If this is the case, all you have to do is to mount the "drive" and then read the images with digikam.
