HP 1310 series And Modem Problems

I'm new on the forum but i've looked first for some help in others post but nothing.
When i run the command hp-toolbox it opens a window with a message to configure first CUPS but when i choose the printer and save it all remains the same, no printer working but when i run hp-info it gives me the correct informations for the printer...

my modem i can't configure it...

    Any help?

sorry for the bad english but i'm not used to write since a long time...

    my printer is already working...

by the way, my computer is an ASUS V6V and i have an external sound card, Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit external, that works just fine with windows but i can't put it to work with kubuntu; it detects the sound card but only works the front columns (5.1 5800 Creative Inspire) and the mixer don't have all the options, just one... the sound card have 2 leds, blue and green, the blue one tells me when the sound is mute or not and the green if it is on the sound card... on kubuntu i only have the blue one working and doesn't blinks, if it blinks mute on if not mute off... any one knows how to make it right? i've found the "How To" but for gentoo and files are not the same and hve different locations...
