I am trying to get my 3com 3CRPAG175 PCMCIA Wireless card to work under linux. It has the atheros chipset on it. When I installed kubuntu on my Dell D810, the card works beautifully exactly as it should. When I try the install on my HP NC6230 however, the card is not recognized. When I insert the card, /var/log/messages tells me that the card was inserted, but does not load any modules. lspci -v tells me the card is unknown. I have tried to manually load the madwifi and madwifi-ng drivers for it, but neither activate the card. I'm running out of ideas and any help would be much appreciated.
