I have heard that 945GM has drivers built into the new 2.6.15 kernel but that hasn't been the case for me. Instead Dapper defaulted to i810 drivers which haven't given me direct rendering. Since I'm used to using Linux on desktops with Nvidia and ATI chipsets, I'm a noob when it comes to working with these Intel integrated ones.
I attempted to download the package they had on their site but it was or SuSE and their instructions were pure crap anyways (its Intel). Does anyone have any tips on how they got this chipset fully supported? Its really common these days since the core duos and I know its been down since I've seen videos of people using Dapper Drake with this chipset.
Other then this issue everything worked out of the box, sound, bluetooth, wireless, etc. I have to admit overall I am very impressed.
