Reboot, turn off SATA hard disk

    Hello,

I have a problem with Kubuntu dapper.

Everytime I reboot, it turns off both of my SATA hard disk, everything is fine for normal IDE hard disk.

Then after the BIOS screen the hard disks spin up again.

    Any idea?

    Pitou!

Without knowing anything, I'd suggest taking a look at your /etc/hdparm.conf file.

I did look in the hdparm.conf file but cannot figure out what to try.

      Any idea?

      Thank you.

There are samples in the file, but I suggest that you google/linux for hdparm and read up on it before doing anything. Hdparm is a very powerful program.
