SATA HD, CD/DVD do not mount

Hi, since upgrading from 5.10 to 6.06 rc, my sata hd does not mount anymore. the system etc off my primary IDE hd works fine.

dmesg output: dmesg | grep -i sda

mount /dev/sda1 yields the following:
mount: /dev/sda1 already mounted or /media/satadisk busy

however, the partition isn't mounted...

any help?

Hi,

You can check it out by command mount
It seems to be mounted as /media/satadisk or /media/satadisk is already mounted with another drive, no ?

that's the point, neither is the case...

I have these, however:

proc on /proc type proc (rw)
/sys on /sys type sysfs (rw)
varrun on /var/run type tmpfs (rw)
varlock on /var/lock type tmpfs (rw)
udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
devshm on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)

/dev/sda1 is definitely not mounted, and /media/satadisk is not busy....

you're right and if you're trying to specify the mount point, is it working ?

i've left the hdX mountpoints out
