[kubuntu 6.06] Netgear wg511v2 marvell

Hi,

My wireless card doesn't work. I tried to follow this instructions, but it seems that it does not work with my kubuntu. https://wiki.kubuntu.org/WifiDocs/De...ght=%28wifi%29

Anyhow I tried all the drivers of my CDROM, I tried the one dedicated to Marvell found from the ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net web site, and I could not install the driver ACX (acx100.erley.org)

Here are the data of my card :
17/09/2004 version 3.1.0.19
Marvell semicon. 3.01.00.019 built by WinBDK

Don't know if I can give more data.

Anyway, does anybody made this fu... card work ? If not, which is most suitable for my kubuntu ?

I restart the whole process from scratch....
remove everything from ndiswrapper installed, like said in the wiki,
install kernel headers,
build a package of ndiswrapper and install it. So, as result I have the version 1.6 installed and seems to work well.

Install the driver from CDROM, for windows 2000.

This time, instead of freezing the system, nothing happen. no lights on my netgear card.

Originally with the driver XP from CDROM, I got only the green light, and freeze of my computer with W2000 version.

So does somebody made this card work with dapper 6.06 ?

I just reinstalled the driver from CDROM for windows 2000 and it works well now.
ndiswrapper -v gives....

Normally you just have to add the module which drive your card into the file :
/etc/modules.

Mine looks like that...
# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

lp
psmouse
sbp2
sr_mod
ndiswrapper


You can see, I just add the line ndiswrapper. This are modules that you want your system to load during boot and which are not defined in init any level.
