sound card issue with dapper

hello.

I'm having a litle truble with my sound card

every now and thenthe sound card stop wotking and I don't get any sound

usually it happen when the system is idle or so but I'm not sure

I don't know what hard ware I have but I'm using LG laptop with ati chipset (the model is LE50 express)
can you helpme fix this?
