    screenshot loops

Using Kubuntu 7.10 and 6.06 on my x86 notebook I get the same problem:
With an external keyboard if I touch the boutton of the arrow it wants to make a screenshot... that's annoying but worse is if I press shift and arrow then it loops the order until the pc crashes...
I uninstall ksnapshot but now konqueror search for it and give me the same problem...
The keyboard (Swiss french) is ps2 connected with a Y splitter for mouse and keyboard going into a usb plug.
Anybody had this problem also? I experience the same with 2 different keyboards.
With ubuntu and the same hardware I don't have any problem... must be related with KDE.

Have you tried (Dapper) K > System Settings > Regional & Accessibility -> Input Actions.
(Gutsy) K > System Settings > Accessibility -> Input Actions.

Configure Hotkey settings: Preset Actions (button for disable) > PrintScreen (button for disable)

Print Screen launches KSnapShot when PrintScrn is pressed. Check 'Keyboard Shortcut' tab (is it 'Print' ?)

      Re: screenshot loops

Thanks, you helped me a lot
Yes 'Keyboard Shortcut' tab is 'Print'
I changed Action type to: keyboard shortcut -> command URL (simple)
Now it does not loop anymore but still when I use shift arrow it tries to make a few screenshots...
I disable it now and it stops...
But I miss a way to make screenshots and I need it for my job.
      Any suggestions?

And why did you uninstall KSnapshot?
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

          You can use KSnapshot from

          1) K > Graphics > KSnapshot

          2) Add Start button to the desktop. Right click desktop > Create New > Link to Application..

          3) Add application to the panel: Right click panel > ...

          4) K > System Settings > Accessibility -> Input Actions >Preset Actions
You can change keyboard shortcut button. Left click 'Print' (in the 'Keyboard Shortcut' tab) => Configure Shortcut window pops up. There are Primary shortcut and Alternate shortcut...

          5) You can use mouse gestures to start KSnapshot: HOWTO : KDE Mouse Gestures
