text blurry after installing nvidia glx legacy driver with envy

I installed the nvidia glx legacy driver with envy last night and now the text is slightly blurry. This for a Riva tnt2 model 64 pro ,32mb card. The monitor is NEC multisync 1740cx.The text wasn't blurry with the nv driver ,but there wasn't any 3d either .Usually I have to run at 75hz with nv because at 60 it's slightly blurry.resolution is 1024x1280 . Any way to get the text sharp again ?

    hope it's the same issue...

try kmenu -> system settings -> appearance -> fonts.
then play around with anti aliasing and dpi.

    i have them like so...
    anti aliasing: full hint
    dpi: 120

Full hint with anti aliasing enabled seems to make a difference, but I'm going to wait and see on this one .I didn't see anything to adjust dpi -Where is it?

on mine it's just below the "use anti aliasing for fonts" thing.
        it's "force fonts dpi".
        i have a choice between 96 and 120dpi.
not sure though if that depends on the drivers (doubt that), the screen resolution (maybe).
or some extra font package that got installed on my box.
can't help you more than that, sorry.
