Scanning with HP photosmart 2575

Hello everybody,

I'm new at the whole open source thing, but bit by bit I get my machine working the way I want it.

I got my HP photosmart 2575 printing after some tips to use HPlib.

But if I push the scan button, the lcd display on the printer says "No scanoptions" "Check documentations for the solution"

But the documentation is all windows minded. I searched some forums and got the feeling I have to install something extra to get this done.

Anybody can give me a hint?

on my hp 1510 scan is set as a printer head recalibration only used when a new cartrige is used.
to copy press copy to scan use a program like kooka or the gimp.
