I have a Canon Pixma iP4000 connected via USB. I am currently printing successfully with the driver from Japan : Canon PIXUS iP4100 Ver.2.50
However, this does not support better resolution than 600x600 and doesn't permit the duplex function the printer is capable of. I'm keen to try the Gutenprint 5.0 driver, but don't know how to change the driver. Gutenprint is installed. Can I use KDE add printer wizard to add a new version of the printer, even though it's on the same USB port, or will that confuse my printing system?
