Re: Does Kubuntu work with digital cameras?

It is. I have never seen it work so weirdly .

    What version do you have?

I'm using 0.8.2. Maybe it's updated in some of the new kde packages and maybe updating to them could solve this weirdness.

Re: Does Kubuntu work with digital cameras?

This kind of things are usually refered as Web-Cams, not digital cameras.

Anyway, please start a new thread to get an answer from someone who knows the state of webcam support in Ubuntu.

        Javier.

I have an app called Gwenview on my Dapper installation. I just plugged in the USB cable from my Canon, a few small setup steps, and the pictures just popped up. Gwenview allows setting up "albums", printing, etc. It just seems to work.

That doesn't solve your Konq problem, but it is a solution for viewing and managing (if you wish) your photos.
