USB mouse not recognized loading from live/install CD

Evening All:

Recently received a packet of the live/install CDs for 6.06 LTS. When I tried to install I got as far as the screen with the icons to choose install or tryout live. I couldn't get past this point because Kubuntu had NOT acknowledged my USB mouse. Is there a solution possible to this, or am I stuck waiting for a new issue of the CD with whatever error is causing this blind spot fixed??

I have a Logitech optical wheel mouse on USB and have the same problem. I'd like to look around Kubutu but not having mouse control makes this virtually impossible.

No one around here seems to be helping, so If you've found a workaround please let me know

I have the same problems with my usb optical mouse. I put a ps/2 adapter on there, problem solved.

I too have the same problem that Kubuntu 7.04 does not recognize my ms optical USB wheel mouse, but I'll try your suggestion to use the ps2 adapter. Thanks
