I've been having this issue since installing Kubuntu 20.10. I have three monitors, and when I try to unlock my session, usually the main monitor will remain off while the login dialog will pop up on another screen. The dialog that appears will have an inoperative password field, as in I cannot get a cursor to type in a password. Most of the time if I had just locked the screen and not suspended the machine I can bring up a login dialog that works on the third screen. However, sometimes (and especially after waking from suspend) no other dialog will come up and I have to open a tty and restart sddm to be able to log in. I'm not really sure how to start troubleshooting this issue, and if anyone could give me some direction it would be really helpful. I've had almost zero issues with Kubuntu 20.04 on my laptop for months, but Kubuntu 20.10 on my desktop has been a constant source of frustration, with this issue making me start to wonder if Kubuntu was a mistake.
