Apps not loading without internet connection

Ok first let me give my specs:

Operating System: Kubuntu 20.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
Kernel Version: 5.8.0-50-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 4 ? Intel? Core? i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz
Memory: 7.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel? UHD Graphics 620

I did not have this problem while running Kubuntu LTS version 20.04 for over 2 years:
Kate
Qmmp
Gwenview
and other applications are affected by this. Without an internet connection the apps will not load correctly and have to be terminated via ksyslog kill signal.

In a Konsole issue
sudo netstat-alp and notice if those apps have "Listen" or actual links to sites.

Kate I was able to resolve by going into the settings for Kate: Sessions/Behavior on application startup: start new session

Ok disconnected from land line cat 6 e cable via network manager...and in airplane mode:

Right now all of the apps seem to be working fine. At the times I experienced slow loading time then had to terminate the apps I was running Kaffeine
Version 2.0.18. I was watching my hauappage dual tuner. There shouldn't have been any system hardware problems regarding that as this laptop is very fast normally and running a 1 tb ssd.

Steps to take in attempt to recreate this:
When getting ready to watch tv via Kaffeine, I usally ctrl+L_shift_Del in firefox. (Time range to clear: Everything) All boxes ticked or checked.
I run a shell script after closing firefox:

#ctrl+Tab set as shortcut key in klipper
xdotool key ctrl+Tab ;
bleachbit -c system.clipboard system.memory

Then via network manager in kubuntu groovy system tray disconnect the land line and switch the tick box into airplane mode.
Then launch kafeine app.

ctrl+tab is a shortcut set to clear the clipboard
