ThinkPad L540 webcam issue

Since i have installed Kubunto 19.10 on my laptop the webcam never worked properly. In the cheese application i have the message Device not found.
Is there a driver to install or something? Thank you.

Have you tried to turn the webcam on via your laptop fn hotkeys or possibly checking if it is disabled in the bios somehow? If it is not detected in lsusb it could be turned off.
