[SOLVED] Issue locking specific apps to specific desktops

i'm on kubuntu 19.10 64 bit and want to basically have dolphin and any dolphin windows i open on deaktop 3, all aplications except for email and browsers open on desktop 1, and browsers and email to open on desktop 2. i can never seem to get the settings right. i think i've setup something to open on a specific desktop and on next launch it opens on desktop 1 again. i already have 4 desktops created so it's just a matter of assigning items to them so they always open on their respective desktop. thanks

thanks for the screenshots. i assumed apply initially meant once the session was closed and restarted the behavior would revert back. i set things up the way i wanted by your screens and logged off and tested and all looks great. thanks again. i knew it was something stupidly simple.

"Apply Initially" means when the application is first opened, but then it allows you to move it to another desktop later if you choose. So each time you close Dolphin and reopen it, it will go back to the desktop you selected. You can choose "Remember" and it will reopen the last place you closed it. There are lots of options, play around a bit. "Apply Now" or "Force Temporarily" will move it now, but not later, etc.
