Changes to app's D-Bus settings don't save after upgrading to 19.10 and KDE 5.17

Upgraded from Kubuntu 19.04 to 19.10 (using 'sudo apt do-release-upgrade -d' method)
After upgrade, rebooted, then ran sudo apt full-upgrade to get KDE 5.17
Rebooted again, so all is fresh.

This d-bus problem is the first issue I've experienced after upgrade. Steps to reproduce, after upgrade.

    1. Open K-Menu
    2. Right-Click any app
    3. Choose Edit application
    4. Application tab
    5. Advanced settings button
    6. Change d-bus registration, then click ok, and ok again.

I get the saving dialog, but when I go through this process again, I find that the setting hasn't been saved. Is there a way to fix this, without having to do a fresh install?

Edit: I can also verify that this is reproducible, as a friend went through the exact same process, and has the exact same issue.

Bumping to correct information for previous readers, should they want to read again. Turns out this problem I'm experiencing may be specific to Kate.

When trying to run Kate from a command line, as "kate -b" I get the following error from the konsole

"Failed to register /MainApplication on DBus"

According to the link below, this problem has already been corrected in Kate, but is not available from the Canonical repos.

The fix for that is uploaded and in a queue, waiting approval from the SRU team.

If you want it sooner, it is also in our updates ppa: https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+...es_filter=eoan

I can wait for it, if it's being moved into the normal update place. just having Kate always open a new instance is annoying. I'm currently looking at the potential of full kubuntu reinstall for other issues, unless I can resolve them. Apparently this problem doesn't exist in a fresh install of 19.10, but hoping I can avoid the reinstall!
