    Kmail rejected wallet access

Hi. I changed my GMail password recently, and since then have not been able to get KMail to use that account. I can log in on that account no problem on my phone or in firefox. The error it gives is: Could not read the password: user rejected wallet acces. I have tried deleting the imap entries in wallet and rebooting but the result is the same. How could I resolve this?

I'm not sure about your kwallet problem "user rejected wallet access", I've never seen that. You could try renaming the wallet in .local/share/kwalletd/kdewallet.kwl to start with a blank wallet, but that would screw up anything else using the default wallet.

But kmail needs a google "App Password" from https://myaccount.google.com/security, the password you use in gmail won't work.
    Regards, John Little

I didnt see any way of getting an app password at that web address but I did check if kmail was in there anywhere and it is not.

Okay, so I have purged Kmail, an akonadi-server, deleted all config files in ./config for both, deleted my wallet and made a new one, reinstalled everything again and... still the exact same error.
