LibreOffice Impress with Embedded Video Project Ignores Aspect Ratio

I have found that on Cosmic and Disco, LibreOffice Impress with embedded videos, projects the video full screen regardless of the video aspect ratio. To add to this, the controlling screen for presentation is also over written by the Video.

This bug now has the Status of Confirmed on Launchpad and given the importance of Medium. No one has been assigned to it and I am starting to wonder if this is the correct location for such a bug. Should it be a LibreOffice bug?
