How does a Kubuntu 18.04 LTS user get to Plasma 5.12.8?

I was going through This week in Usability & Productivity, part 47 which has this:

This week in Usability & Productivity we did a lot of work on our Plasma 5.12 long-term support release and performance improvements for KIO and Baloo (many of which are not individually significant enough to be mentioned here, but will add up to some great improvements over time). Lots of nice bugfixes and new features snuck in, too.
Further on there are several mentions of "KDE Plasma 5.12.8".

But, according to inxi -Sxx (and KInfoCenter), I'm still on 5.12.6:
    Code:
    System: Host: kububb Kernel: 4.15.0-39-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 7.3.0
Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.12.6 tk: Qt 5.9.5 wm: kwin_x11 dm: SDDM
Distro: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (Bionic Beaver)
    I have "unsupported updates" ticked:
    Attached Files
    Kubuntu 20.04

Tick Pre-released updates. Let the indexing finish, then close the app. Open a konsole and run: sudo apt update then sudo apt full-upgrade. Review the list(s) of packages to be upgraded and installed.

Me personally, I always tick all four Kubuntu updates options in the Updates tab on every Kubuntu install I do. See https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...l=1#post423229

5.12.8 is a future bugfix release, due currently in March 2019.

Thanks for the responses. I've bookmarked the schedule in case anyone else asks a similar question

For really crucial bugfixes scheduled for 5.12.8, we could perhaps cherry pick them in advance. Application crashes etc, that render things unusable.
