KDE Partition manager shows the same partitions as in the first post but the digit of almost each sdaX has changed.

A result of a search for "Partition does not start on physical sector boundary."
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1569...ector-boundary
could help:
Code:Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes
My hard disk could be one of the newer models which uses the advanced format of 4096 bytes per physical sector instead of the older 512 bytes/sector.
This HDD could still provide a "legacy" emulation of 512 bytes/sector, which is why we see the logical sector size as 512.

OK, I'm not sure where we're at here in terms of what needs to be done next.
(1) Details:
In Posts #33 and #34, you need to use sudo in front of your commands:
sudo sfdisk -V
sudo fsck /dev/sda
It might be nice to see those, especially the filesystem check. I'm am not a filesystem expert and have not had to do much with it except to run a quick check and a quick fix, but I'm still hoping others can chime in here or we look it up, as needed.
(2) Clarify: So you are NOT able to boot into your Kubuntu 18.04 on sda7 after running that sfdisk command yesterday?
If the answer is that you can not boot into sda7, hard telling what happened with that sfdisk business. But, you can try to use Boot-Repair to see if it can fix this booting:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair.
Boot Repair: re-install GRUB
The easy way would be to use Boot Repair, which will re-install GRUB for you (and do other things, if you like). You can install Boot Repair in your live Kubuntu session and run it from there.
(3) gparted: It would be interesting to see what gparted sees on sda.
You can install gparted using Muon in a live Kubuntu USB session and run it on sda to see how it sees your partitions and if it can expand sda7. BUT ... if you can't boot into sda7, that needs to be fixed before you exapnd sda7.An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

Re Post #35: I could be dead wrong, but personally, I would not worry about all this business about HOW your partitions are arranged on the disk, not until you fix booting problems. Partitions out of order, starting/not-starting on sector boundaries, and so on ... it all somehow happened, it is what it is, but it is not absolutely critical to running your OSs. Fwiw, I've had those same warnings many times in my Linux career here! and I just ignore them. Don't you agree that, back to Post #1, there may be something wrong with the filesystem on sda7? I could easily be wrong here.An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

NAME
fsck - check and repair a Linux filesystem
SYNOPSIS
fsck [-lsAVRTMNP] [-r [fd]] [-C [fd]] [-t fstype] [filesystem...] [--] [fs-
specific-options]
DESCRIPTION
fsck is used to check and optionally repair one or more Linux filesystems.
..........
man fsck
I'm no expert on fixing filesystems, but the fix is usually not difficult and amounts to running the correct command. An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

Thank you Qqmike for all your advices.
I use KDE Partition manager (as written above in #31).The website alternativeto.net shows that KDE partition manager is an alternative to gparted and that gparted is an alternative to KDE Partition manager.
There is very little difference between them.
Furthermore:
- I use Kubuntu and Gparted is a gnome partition manager.
- rahulprabhakar reaches the conclusion in https://forum.manjaro.org/t/why-gpar...space/24817/10
that KDE manager is better than Gparted.
I only tried to boot once the computer. I got the description of #15.
I didn't show the partitiontable in #31 because only the numbers of sdaX changed and we could be confused in the future. But I show it now

What about
sudo sfdisk --list
I'm really concerned here that the sfdisk lost your partitions! However, above,
sudo fdisk -lu
did seem to see the partitions.
And you can NOT boot into sda7, right?
Keep TestDisk in mind
https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
and
sudo fsck /dev/sda
did indicate a filesystem error, as expected.
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a valid ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
or
e2fsck -b 32768 <device>
Still hoping one of the filesystem guys jumps in here to look at this. No question that sfdisk messed this up; although, again, fdisk -lu does appear to see these partitions--and they do look OK. Thank you very much Qqmike and GreyGeek for all your ideas. I cannot try them all at the same time.
Here is the summary of boot repair that I installed on a USB,
