    No dvd playback

What is the name of the package needed to play DVDs? VLC can't read any disks. I am thinking I did a fresh install so I probably need to install the package again but I forgot what it is called.
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

the methodology does, indeed work for Kubu for just about any DVD however on Neon, it works for DVDs that DO NOT have the film broken into a title and segments.

Sorry. Ubuntu can't install this themselves due to legal issues concerning codecs. It must be installed manually. Annoying but that's international politics for you. If I remember right I posted this previously in another Kubuntu version which does have the solution. Just open a konsel and type
          Code:
          sudo apt install libdvd-pkg
          then run
          Code:
          sudo dpkg-reconfigure libdvd-pkg
