Cloning a Host Machine

I'm running 18.04 with a VMware Windows 10 vm. Am I correct that if I use Clonzilla (or some similar program) to create a clone of the host Linux machine the clone will contain the Windows 10 vm as part of it? I think so; it seems logical, but sometimes my intuitive logic and actual computer logic don't quite line up.

yes. Cloning is what the name implies - a bit for bit exact copy of the drive (or partition) in question.
