/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.30' not found
Tried to do an important security update for Waterfox tonight, and ran smack dab into that little dandy of an issue. Tried updating, but evidently Kubuntu 18.04 doesn't have anything newer than 2.27. Anyone know how to get around that, or am I pretty much SOL until 20.04 comes out? I'd love to avoid having a vulnerable browser for the next 3 months until I can finally run a system with a more modern version of LIbc.
It's not only Ubuntu 16.04, it's also Ubuntu 18.04 (the latest LTS release), and all versions of Debian, Linux Mint, openSUSE and others.
Basically only bleeding edge distros like Arch, Fedora and non-LTS Ubuntu releases can use this Waterfox build. As far as I know, the vast majority of Linux desktops cannot use it.
Use an alternate build, or grab the appimage foir the moment.
Okay, there's apparently an App Image, which I don't like, that'll temporarily solve this. But if he's doing a rebuild and release, I think I'll wait on that to upgrade as it shouldn't be too many days out. Thanks for the help, as I didn't know where to go with this, and since it works on my Fedora box, I figured, wrongly obviously, that it was a Kubuntu issue. HA! Silly me for assuming. :P lol
