[SOLVED] Dolphin --- Enabling 'Delete' in the Context Menu

    Hi.

I switched from Kubuntu 16.04 to 18.04. They used to have a way of enabling 'Delete' in the context menu in Dolphin. Now I can't figure out how to enable it in 18.04. Could anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Dai

    Launch Dolphin.

Click on the Control icon and click on Configure Toolbars...

Under Available actions, type Delete in the Filter box

Click once on Delete to highlight it

Click the right pointing arrow head to put the action into the Toolbar Menu

    Click Apply

      Thanks for the quick reply.

That does add 'Delete' to the toolbar. Unfortunately, that's not what I want to do. I want the 'Delete' option in the context menu, which appears when you right-click a file or a folder in Dolphin. It includes 'Move to Trash' by default. In 14.04 and 16.04, it was possible to replace it with 'Delete'. Is it still an option with 18.04?

I am aware that I can hold down 'Shift' to turn 'Move to Trash' into 'Delete,' but that's an extra step I'd rather not have to get used to.

      Thanks again,
      Dai
